Are you tired of searching for a job in Pakistan? Here is a big opportunity for you. The Government of Pakistan has announced to send 800,000 Pakistanis abroad for employment in 2026. This opportunity is being provided by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
According to Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, around 740,000 Pakistanis were sent abroad in 2025, and now the target has been increased to 800,000 for 2026.
Under Which Program is This Happening?
This is not a private agent scheme. It is a government-to-government recruitment program run by two official departments:
1. BEOE – Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment
2. OEC – Overseas Employment Corporation (Est. 1976)
Along with this, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the Digital Youth Hub (DYH) portal. Over 800,000 young people have already registered on this portal, which will now serve as a central repository for overseas vacancies. All Pakistani embassies have been directed to upload foreign job opportunities directly to this portal.
In Which Countries and Sectors Are Jobs Available?
Countries: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, South Korea, Japan and other GCC & European countries. There is high demand for Pakistani manpower in Gulf countries.
Sectors: Construction, Agriculture, Tourism, Health, Transport, Biotechnology, Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, IT, Engineering, Nursing, Pharmaceuticals and Food Processing.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18 to 45 years. The minimum age for women seeking overseas employment has been reduced from 35 to 25 years.
- Education & Skill: Middle, Matric, Intermediate, Diploma, Graduation – all can apply. Skills are more important than degree. The government is also launching soft-skills training programs in collaboration with Korea and Japan.
- Documents: Valid CNIC, Passport, Educational Certificates, Experience Letters.
